Great location, amazing view from room/balcony/rooftop, very nice staff. The only problem was the bathroom which was super smelly. We are relatively tolerant when it comes to stuff like that, but the situation was almost unbearable.
I booked the room in april 2018 for july 2018, so 3 months earlier through booking.com. Two days before we arrived I contacted the owner and there was everything ok with our deal. We arrived in Sarajevo and some lady said thet we are in some basement apartment. Not in top with balcony. When we contacted owner, he said that basement apartment is available, not one we booked (3 months earlier). I think it is not professional to do that. We didnt accept basement apartment which price was the same as one with balcony. One good thing eas that owner aacepted my cancelation for free. i couldnt write review on booking.com so i write here just that you know the situation.
So, just to say it up front, if you want a cheap and pleasant place to stay, stay here. There is both good and bad, but the good outweighs the bad in my opinion. To start, the location was great, easy walking to lots of things very nearby. Another huge plus was the owner/operator. He really tried to do everything in his power to be hospitable and friendly. He was knowledgeable about the area and really was a pleasure to deal with. The room was clean and reasonably priced and the size was fine. Now, the room we got did have a private bathroom… but the bathroom was down a hall. We had a key to the room and a key to the bathroom, but we did have to walk 5 feet outside the room. We enjoyed a brief yet entirely enjoyable stay here last month. The owner was incredibly friendly and our room was perfectly sized with a small kitchen and a bath under the window- ideal for enjoying the Sarajevo panoramas after a busy day of exploring. The location is excellent and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The rooftop was particularly memorable at sunset. If we return to Sarajevo (as we hope to) we'd certainly stay here again.
